My name is Joel Robison and I’m a conceptual portrait photographer living in Cranbrook, British Columbia Canada. I enjoy creating whimsical worlds where size, scale, movement and function don’t play by the rules that we know.
I came across your work through Brooke Shaden’s blog! Absolutely amazing! I’m a fan.
I love coffee too!!!!

So, are you a teacher in a High School? I would love to find a super talented teacher like you 😀
You’re a truly inspiration ♥
you are an inspiration to so many people. it is really incredible.
Hi Joel, I was just introduced to your work today via yellowtrace blog. I LOVE it, so original, inspiring, uplifting and beautiful. Big smile on my face – thank you. Gill
I am speechless. You are something else, good sir.
Hi. I’d love to purchase a print of the man (being you) walking along seeing a bird, with the shadows being a knight and a dragon. This is my son to a tee and would love a print on his wall. I’m a photographer also, and rather than right-clicking the image and attempting to upscale it I would rather support an artist in the right way 🙂
My blog, eleanorconduit.tumblr.com is up and running and I’m having fun as a new blogger 🙂
I love your images; thank you for sharing, Joel.
Thank you so much for sharing your skills!
Have a great day! Please email me your address so that I can send you a thank you note 🙂

Greetings from Argentina!
I found you at Tumblr, thanks to the Coldplay fans..this was posted today
your photos are lovely! glad I found this blog.
I love, love your photography, Joel. Just read a piece where you talk about people stealing your photos. I must tell you I”ve used your photos but credited and linked back to you. Please tell me if this is okay. I’m a teacher librarian and model ethical use of other people’s stuff. Here’s an example of how I’ve used your photos in an educational presentation. It’s linked in this blog post.
PS Your photos stand out for their ability to take you out and away!

not to worry, I don’t mind if people use my work in presentations with credit 🙂
Hi Joel, I absolutely love your work. I’m working on a poster for a non-profit event, is it okay if I use one of your photos, of course with credit. It would be both posted online and printed.
I accidentally came across your photography and just had to find you and tell you how great and amazing they are. You have inspired me to dust off my camera and get back out there 🙂
You are a genuinely wonderful photographer and I aspire dearly to one day be as skilled as you are.

Wow! Your pictures are amazing and I’m inspired to continue to take pictures, and someday they can look like yours! I like to take pictures, too, and you opened my eyes on how amazing you can create out of a single shot. It is all about imagination.
